How to access Campaign Manager
Select Campaign Manager from the left-hand navigation.
Setting up your report
When you open Campaign Manager, default filters are applied to load relevant data automatically.
You can adjust the Date Range, Scope, Filters, and Guidelines to refine or narrow the data shown based on your analysis needs.
Date Range
Select the timeframe for your analysis.
You can adjust the range to review recent performance or analyze historical trends.
You can report on historical performance data going back up to 13 months from the date the account was connected to the platform.
Note: For Amazon, the available date range is between 60 and 90 days.
Scope
Define the set of data you want to analyze.
Begin by selecting the relevant workspaces and channels in the Scope tab.
Then, to refine your report even further, you can add additional scopes such as brands, markets, and ad accounts. The available ad accounts adjust dynamically based on your brand or market selection, ensuring only relevant data appears.
Filters
Setting up your report with the right data is a crucial step in analyzing creative performance.
To make your reports more specific, you can use filters in the Filters tab based on different aspects of your campaigns, such as:
Campaign Identifiers
Ad Sets
Ads
Creatives
Note: Filtering by HTML ad type is currently only available for DV360.
KPI Selection
Campaign Manager loads with a set of default KPIs for each channel so you can begin analyzing performance immediately.
You can use the KPI selector to customize which KPIs appear in the table based on your goals.
Updating the selected KPIs will also update the top-line metric cards and Smart Recommendations, which re-evaluate based on the selected metrics.
Some KPIs are not available at certain reporting levels due to platform limitations. For example, ad types such as Dynamic Creative Optimization have limited View Through Rate metrics on Meta.
Navigating Between Channels
At the top of Campaign Manager, you'll see channel tabs based on the channels selected in the Scope tab.
You will see:
An All Channels tab (when two or more channels are selected)
Individual channel tabs for each of your selected channels (e.g., Meta, TikTok, Google Ads, etc.)
Switching tabs updates the entire view, including:
Top-line metrics
Table data
Available KPIs
Smart Recommendations
Understanding the All Channels vs. Channel Tabs
All Channels Tab
The All Channels tab provides a consolidated view across all selected channels when your scope includes multiple channels.
When this tab is active:
A Channel Performance Overview displays top-line performance metrics per channel
Shared KPIs are displayed for cross-channel comparison
Smart Recommendations evaluate performance across the full selected channel mix
Use this view to:
Compare overall channel performance
Evaluate how your media mix is performing
Identify which platforms are driving the strongest results
Channel-Specific Tabs
Each channel tab displays data specific to that platform.
When viewing a single channel:
Top-line KPI cards reflect that channel only
KPI selections are channel-specific
Smart Recommendations evaluate only that channel’s data
Use this view to:
Dive deeper into performance for a specific platform
Optimize media within one channel
Review channel-specific structures and metrics
Evaluating Performance at Different Levels
Campaign Manager allows you to analyze performance at different levels depending on the type of action you want to take.
Campaign
Reallocate budget, adjust targeting strategy, or pause/scale entire campaigns.
Ad Group (if supported)
Refine placements or bidding within a campaign.
Ads + Assets
Pause or scale specific ads, refresh creative, or optimize individual assets.
Different channels may support different levels of reporting. If a level isn't supported for a selected channel, that tab won't appear.
Understanding the Ads + Assets Tab
The Ads + Assets tab gives you the most granular view of performance.
This is especially useful when working with multi-asset ad types, where:
An ad may contain multiple assets (e.g., Dynamic Creative Optimization), or
A single asset may be used across multiple ads (e.g., Auto Placement).
In these cases:
The parent row represents the Ad
Nested rows represent the individual Assets
You can expand or collapse rows to analyze assets individually.
If an ad contains only one asset, it appears as a single row.
You can also create custom groups of assets to compare creative concepts side-by-side.
This structure allows you to evaluate both:
How the ad is performing overall
How individual creative assets are contributing to performance
Table Features
Campaign Manager includes tools to help you efficiently navigate and analyze large datasets.
You can:
Sort any column (one at a time) to quickly reorganize performance data
Use the search bar to filter rows by name in real time
Move between pages using pagination controls
Use the Edit columns button to customize which columns are visible, including columns hidden by default such as Format and Duration.
Smart Recommendations
Campaign Manager includes AI-powered Smart Recommendations that act as a dynamic filter on the table, helping you quickly identify where action may be needed and what type of action is recommended.
When applied, a Smart Recommendation filters the table to show only the campaigns, ad groups, or ads and assets that meet the selected criteria.
High Performers
Filters rows where most selected KPIs are performing better than average.
Use this to identify opportunities to scale budget or replicate strong creative patterns.
Underperformers
Filters rows where most selected KPIs are performing worse than average.
Use this to reduce wasted spend by pausing low performers or reallocating budget away from these placements.
Needs Optimization
Filters rows with low Scores and at least one underperforming KPI.
Use this to identify creative that may require revision or refresh.
