Setting up a report
Setting your reports up with the right data is a crucial step in analyzing your creative performance. As you work across the varying reports in analytics, these filters will be maintained to ensure consistency in reporting.
The analytics reports consist of 2 key components needed to get started in reporting: The date of your analysis and the scope.
Date Range: Select a date range to get started. You are able to report on historical performance data going back 13 months from the date the account was connected to the platform.
Note: For Amazon this date range is between 60-90 days
Scope: Begin by selecting the workspace(s) and channel relevant to your analysis. Please add at least one scope such as brands, markets, and ad accounts. These components are essential for aligning the data with the specific creative you wish to analyze.
Note: The criteria available in this report depend on the criteria that are already selected within your workspace(s) in Creative Scoring. To learn how to add additional criteria to your workspace, check out this Help Center article: How do I use the Criteria Management?
Filtering: To make your reports more specific, you can use filters based on different aspects of your campaigns, like Campaign, Adset, Ad, and Creative, as well as brand, market, and ad account.
Manage Filters: Easily remove or edit a filter by hovering over it and clicking the trash icon.
Add a KPI as an additional column:
Add the KPI you would like to analyze.
Note: Adwords is currently unavailable for Criteria Performance
You will also be able to filter the view of your report by selecting the specific columns within the report you would like to view as well as the specific KPIs.
How to Understand the Criteria Performance Report
The Criteria Performance Report provides insights based on the criteria you created in criteria management with your Creative Scoring workspace. In Criteria Performance, you can then filter by the specific criteria you would like to view using the filters.
Here's how to interpret the key sections:
Adherence: This section evaluates how well your creative met the selected criteria. This breaks down the number of creatives that adheres the criteria as well as the number of creatives that did not adhere to the criteria.
Impressions: This shows the number of impressions where the creative met the criteria versus those where it did not. Additionally, it provides the total impressions for the creative, giving you a comprehensive view of its reach and effectiveness.
KPI Performance: You can choose specific KPIs available within your selected channel by adding a KPI column. This section will show the performance of your creative in terms of meeting and not meeting each selected KPI.
Note: If you see a null (-), it could be due to one of the following reasons:
No performance data meeting the criteria because there are no creatives available for comparison.
To confirm, you can also check the '# Creative Met' column.
The creative was not given a score due to a "Not Available" status.
Your date range and filters may be too narrow, limiting the data pulled in. Try expanding your filters.
