Maddie in Vidmob's platform is designed to help you unlock the “why” behind your brand's creative performance through an interactive, conversational chat interface. This tool allows you to delve into your brand-specific data and understand which creative elements impact your KPIs. Brand Maddie differs from the Normative Maddie by delivering insights specifically tailored to your brand’s unique performance data.

Note: To maximize the value of Maddie, it’s essential to set brand identifiers and descriptions for your ad accounts. Doing so enables the Maddie to deliver highly accurate, detailed insights specific to your brand. By assigning brand identifiers and descriptions, you gain access to streamlined management and reporting tailored to your unique performance data. Unlike the Normative Maddie which provides benchmarked insights across industries, the Brand Insight Co-Pilot focuses exclusively on your brand, helping you uncover actionable takeaways about the creative elements driving your KPIs.

Why It’s Important

Maddie transforms how you interact with brand-specific data, making it accessible and actionable. Rather than combing through large datasets, you can ask targeted questions about your brand’s creative performance and receive tailored recommendations that are directly relevant to your campaigns. This feature enables you to make data-driven creative decisions that are informed by your brand’s specific goals and metrics, optimizing your campaigns and maximizing results.

Whether you’re planning a new campaign or optimizing an existing one, Maddie provides insights into creative elements that impact performance. You can ask questions like, “What colors drive engagement for my brand?” and receive detailed recommendations to guide your creative strategy, all accessible directly within your projects.

Steps to Use Maddie

Communicating with Maddie

You can use Maddie to ask questions about your Analytic Reports or Scoring Reports. Whether you want to understand which creative elements drive performance or explore how your scoring guideline vary across channels, Maddie helps you uncover clear, data-backed insights directly within your workspace.

Step 1: Open the Maddie interface from within Vidmob’s platform.

Begin by typing your question or request into the chat box. For example, you might ask, “How does scenery affect performance?” or “How do my scoring guidelines vary across channels?”. Your questions will pull data from the following reports:

  • Creative Manager

  • Element Impact Report

  • Guideline Performance Report

  • Adherence Report

  • In-Flight Report

Step 3: Press Enter to submit your question. Maddie will process your query and generate a response based on your brand’s specific data and filters.

When you click on an element, a module will pop up providing an overview of that element. This allows you to learn more about its performance and view the associated creative.

Step 4: Review the response. If you need additional information or further clarification, you can continue the conversation with follow-up questions.

Attaching Insights to Projects

Step 1: After receiving a response from Maddie, click the “Add to project” button.

Step 2: A modal pop-up will appear, prompting you to select the project to attach all or that specific insight.

Step 3: Once the project is selected, a notification will confirm that the insight has been successfully attached.

Creating New Insights for the Insights Library

Step 1: After receiving a chat response that is particularly valuable, click the “Add to library” button.

Step 2: You will receive a notification confirming that the insight has been added to the Insights Library.

Note: You can provide feedback on your response by clicking the thumbs up or down button. You will then be able to provide additional context to your feedback. This will help improve the feature over time.

Example Questions You Can Ask

  • “What creative insights should I incorporate for my brand’s fall campaign?”

  • “What visual elements boost CTR in my brand’s Instagram ads?”

  • “Which colors are associated with higher engagement for my brand on Facebook?”

  • “How do creative elements in my brand’s ads perform across YouTube versus Instagram?”

  • “How do my scoring guidelines vary across channels?”

How Insights Are Formatted

Each response you receive will include the following information: Each response includes information about the scope of data, such as: “Based on brand X and brand Y in the US market, from Jan 1, 2023, to Sept 4, 2023, these are the top-performing elements for 3-second VTR.

The response will include:

  • Finding: Key data points relevant to your brand.

  • Recommendation: Contextual guidance on the data.

  • Creative Examples: Scrollable examples of creatives that demonstrate the recommended elements.

  • Analytics Data Table: Data on element performance, impressions, and number of creatives, with a default closed view.

Note: If multiple brands are selected, insights will reflect an aggregated view across the selected brands.

Additional Brand Maddie Features

Maddie Global Filtering

  • You can set filters to narrow down your data scope, such as date range, workspace, channel, brand, market, ad account, KPI, creative media type, and other advanced global filters.

  • If there are any missing mandatory filters, an error message will appear. If your question goes beyond the set scope, Maddie will prompt you to adjust your filters.

  • Filter settings apply immediately without needing to hit “Apply.” Any changes made based on the chat input will adjust the data scope accordingly.

History Panel

  • To view your chat history, open the history panel from the control bar.

  • Conversations are grouped by timeline (Today, Yesterday, Previous 7 days, Previous 30 days, Older), and you can delete individual chats if desired.

  • You can view the filters applied to any specific chat and response by clicking on the chat to open a modal with detailed filter settings.

Conversational Capabilities

Maddie can:

  • Recognize specific brand data you’re working with, including campaigns, channels, and creatives tied to the brand.

  • Ask clarifying questions to refine insights further, if needed. For example, if you ask, “What’s driving performance?”, Maddie may request a more specific KPI or date range.

  • Drill down into specific creative elements that impact KPIs, such as images, copy, and colors.

  • Tailor insights to platform nuances (e.g., YouTube vs. Instagram) and help compare performance across channels, such as “How does my creative perform on Facebook versus Instagram?”

Note: If there is insufficient data to generate insights, Maddie will display a message explaining the lack of data.
