Overview
The Talent Registry is your organization's own list of the talent and celebrities that matter to your brand. Registered talent appear as elements across your assets and reports, so you can understand their effect on performance outcomes. Vidmob's celebrity-detection scoring also uses them to check adherence to your brand guidelines. By telling Vidmob who you actually work with, Celebrity tags in your reports stay limited to the people you care about.
Where to find it
Go to Org Settings > Data Management > Talent Registry.
Organization admins can add, edit, and delete talent.
If you do not have admin access, contact an organization admin to request a change to the registry.
The registry list
Each entry shows the talent's Name, the Date added, and who added it, so you can see how the list has been built over time.
Search by name.
Add a filter to narrow the list by Added by or Date added. Each filter carries its own value and clears from its own X.
Sort by name, date added, or who added the entry, and page through longer registries.
Download CSV to export the current registry.
Adding talent
1. Add one or several names
Select + Add talent.
Enter a First name and Last name. A last name is optional - talent who go by a single name are supported.
Add as many rows as you need and submit them together.
The names are checked before anything is saved:
Empty values and repeats inside the same form are flagged inline.
Names already in the registry are rejected and identified by name. Matching ignores capitalization, so “ava torres” and “Ava Torres” are the same entry.
If any name in the batch is rejected, nothing is saved - correct the flagged names and submit again.
2. Bulk upload a CSV
Select Bulk upload and drop in your file, or download the template first.
The file takes a single name column, one talent per row.
A CSV is imported row by row: valid rows are added, and any rows that can't be imported are reported in a summary, so one bad line doesn't cost you the file.
Editing and removing talent
Edit a row to correct a name. The same duplicate and validation rules apply.
Delete a row to remove one entry. The confirmation names the entry being removed.
Bulk delete: tick the rows you want - or the header checkbox to take the whole page - and delete them together. The confirmation tells you how many entries will be removed.
⚠️ Note: Removing talent from the registry removes them from what celebrity detection looks for. Their tags stop appearing in reports, exports, and API responses.
What the registry changes in your reporting
Reports and exports: Celebrity tags reflect your registry. Registered talent appears as creative elements; unregistered talent does not.
API and MCP responses: the same rule applies, so tag data stays consistent wherever you consume it.
Scoring guidelines: in the guideline builder, the Celebrity rule lets you choose from your registered talent, instead of asking you to type a name. Only names in the registry can be selected, which keeps a guideline from silently scoring against a name that is never detected.
Registry changes flow through to tag data shortly after you save them - you do not need to re-upload or re-process your assets.
Registering a name tells Vidmob who to look for; it does not force a tag. Talent must still be recognized in the creative with high confidence before a Celebrity tag is applied, so a brief, partially hidden, or low-quality appearance may not be tagged.
Best practices
Register talent before a campaign launches, so reporting is complete from the first asset.
Use the name the talent is publicly known by - the name that would appear in a credit or a press release.
Use Bulk upload when you are onboarding a roster; use + Add talent for one-off additions.
Keep the registry current. You can remove talent you no longer work with once you no longer need them in reporting.
Review the registry before building a Celebrity scoring guideline, so every name you want to score on is available to select.
Frequently asked questions
Why am I not seeing a celebrity who is clearly in my creative?
They are most likely not in your Talent Registry. Add them, and their tags will appear in reporting. If they are registered and still missing, the appearance may not have been detected with enough confidence - contact support@vidmob.com.
Does the registry affect historical reports?
Celebrity tags across your reporting reflect the registry's current state, so adding or removing talent changes what you see in existing reports as well as new ones.
Can two teams keep separate lists?
No. The Talent Registry is shared across your organization.
Can I add a fictional character, a mascot or an influencer?
The registry is for people that celebrity detection can recognize. Characters, mascots, and other brand assets are better handled as object tags in your creative-drivers-related reporting.
