How do I connect my FB/IG Ad Account?

Below are the necessary steps to connect a FB/IG Ad Account.

To successfully connect, the user connecting the ad account must have at least one of the following roles:

  1. Analyst

  2. Admin (for more complex ad account structures)

  3. Business Manager Admin (if using any custom audiences)

Note: In the integrations flow, you must go through the options to connect organic Pages before selecting paid Ad Accounts. Please be sure the email address with the necessary permissions is the same email address you use to access the VidMob platform.


Step 1: Sign in to VidMob


Step 2: Go to "Quick Links" > "Integrations" > click on "Facebook and Instagram" platform card


Step 3: Sign into the platform


Step 4: Complete the authorization flow

Note: When you go through the connection flow, you will be asked to connect organic Instagram and Facebook pages first, in a separate window. Then you will be brought back to VidMob's platform to connect paid ad accounts.

First screen: Organic Instagram Pages

  • Connect any relevant “Instagram Business Accounts” which is what Facebook refers to as organic Instagram pages.

Second screen: Organic Facebook Pages

  • Connect any relevant Facebook Pages, which reflect any organic Facebook pages the client has access to.

Note: Even if you are only concerned with paid media, connecting any relevant brand Pages is important to being able to pull in all creatives (sometimes creatives are posted on Pages first, prior to having spend allocated to it in an ad account).

Third screen: Permissions

  • This will show all permissions that VidMob requests to be able to successfully import the creatives and the performance metrics.

Note: You can provide VidMob read or write access by toggling the first permission on or off. Please keep all other permissions toggled on to successfully import.

Lastly: Select your Paid Ad Accounts

  • After going through the previous screens, the pop up will close and you will land back on the Integrations page on the “Manage Access” tab.

  • Toggle to the “Manage Ad Accounts” tab to see all Ad Accounts you have access to.

  • Here, you can select any Ad Accounts that need to be connected.

Don’t forget to click Save!

Note: After you finish this process, you will just see your paid media accounts. If you are interested in learning more about your organic accounts, please reach out to your VidMob team for the next steps.


To disconnect an ad account, press the "Disconnect" button provided on the account's card.
