VidMob asks for the minimum set of permissions from a user that allows Creative Analytics to perform as expected. The permissions asked for are directly sourced from each platform, which sometimes means asking for data that does not seem related. Read the details below to understand these instances.

VidMob only reads information for our Creative Analytics tool. However, sometimes the minimum permission includes write access, due to it not being separated by the platform. This means the access VidMob is granted has potential to change information, but VidMob does not utilize this ability.

The user who is authenticating the connection must have, at minimum, the permissions that VidMob is requesting. If the user happens to have more permissions than what VidMob is requesting, VidMob will not inherit any additional permissions. The roles we indicate for each platform have been verified by platform, to have the correct minimum requirements.

The list of required roles and permissions are organized by platform:

Facebook/Instagram

To successfully connect, a user must have at least one of the following roles:

  1. Analyst

  2. Admin (for more complex ad account structures)

  3. Business Manager Admin (if using any custom audiences)
